Our OEM Customized service process
1. Requirements Communication
Clients submit product requirements, including but not limited to: product category (piano / wind / string / percussion / accessories), customization objectives (appearance / structure / tone / electronic modification), reference materials (sketches, benchmark models, product photos, or written descriptions), estimated annual order quantity, and expected delivery time.
Our technical team completes a feasibility assessment within 24 hours, with category-specific engineers reviewing the requirements and evaluating technical achievability. A Requirement Diagnosis Report is then issued, including: feasibility level (high / medium / low), recommended manufacturing process, major risk alerts (e.g., special structures may extend lead time), initial cost range, and prototyping timeline estimate.
For complex requirements, a 15–30 minute online technical meeting can be arranged, with the client’s project manager and our engineers participating together.
2. Engineering Prototyping
Based on the confirmed Requirement Diagnosis Report, we proceed to the engineering prototyping phase, with the following specific steps:
3D Modeling
Create a high-precision 3D model based on client requirements, including structural details, assembly relationships, and key acoustic parameters. The model can be delivered to the client for confirmation.CNC Precision Machining of Sample
Machine physical samples using 5-axis CNC equipment. Tolerance for wind instrument keys is controlled within ±0.02mm, and verticality of piano tuning pins is ≤0.05mm, ensuring dimensional accuracy and assembly fit.Acoustic Testing
Conduct three core tests on the sample in an anechoic chamber environment:Intonation Curve: Measure the deviation between actual and standard frequencies for each note, adjusting to within ±5 cents.
Harmonic Distribution: Analyze harmonic energy distribution to ensure a rich tone that matches the desired character (bright / warm / mellow).
Dynamic Response: Test volume linearity and tonal consistency from pianissimo (pp) to fortissimo (ff).
Physical Sample Confirmation
Ship the complete sample to the client. The client performs a hands-on play test and visual inspection. Upon approval, the sample is sealed as the benchmark for mass production.
The standard prototyping cycle is approximately 25 calendar days. Each round of modification adds 5–7 working days.
3. Sample Testing & Acceptance
After the client receives the engineering prototype, the sample testing and acceptance phase begins, with the following specific steps:
Performance Testing
The client conducts comprehensive testing based on their actual usage scenarios, including but not limited to: playing feel, intonation stability, tonal consistency, structural strength, surface finish, and durability assessment.Submit Test Feedback
The client provides a written test report or feedback to us within the agreed timeframe (typically 7–10 business days), clearly indicating which items meet requirements and which require adjustments.Sample Modification (if needed)
If any non-conformities are identified during testing, we make targeted modifications based on client feedback and reship the revised sample until client satisfaction is achieved.Acceptance Confirmation & Payment
Once the client confirms that the sample fully meets requirements, both parties sign the Sample Acceptance Confirmation. The client then makes the corresponding payment as stipulated in the contract (typically 30%–50% of the total order value), which serves as the prerequisite for mass production.
Once accepted and confirmed, the sample becomes the quality benchmark for all subsequent mass production units, and all products must remain consistent with this sealed sample.
4. Mass Production And Finished Product Delivery
After the client completes sample acceptance and pays the initial startup payment, the mass production and delivery phase begins, with the following specific steps:
Mass Production
Mass production lines are started based on the sealed sample standards. Established process parameters are strictly followed during production (e.g., wood moisture content control, heat treatment curves for metal parts, coating thickness standards, etc.), ensuring that the dimensions, acoustic performance, and appearance of each batch remain consistent with the sealed sample.
Finished Product Delivery
After passing inspection, products are packed according to the client’s required packaging solution (customizable brand packaging, inner protective liners, and outer carton labeling) and shipped via agreed logistics methods (sea freight, air freight, or courier). Packing lists, quality inspection reports, and logistics tracking information are provided to the client.
The typical mass production cycle is 30–60 calendar days, depending on order quantity and product complexity.
